How to prevent swelling in pregnancy

Rafaelle Mendes Swellig Feet Swelling During Pregnancy

During pregnancy, your body produces more blood and body fluids to sustain your developing baby. As a result, edema is very common in pregnant women. Edema is swelling caused by excess fluid trapped in your body's tissues. It can pool in your hands, face, legs, ankles and feet, and cause uncomfortable swelling. If you are experiencing edema during your pregnancy, there are many different ways to reduce any swelling you have.

Below, I'm giving you 5 important things you can do to pass through this experience more comfortable.

  1. EXERCISE REGURLALY

Doing exercise can help get your circulation moving and flush out excess fluids. Swimming, walking and yoga will be good for you. Discuss with your doctor before you start to ensure, it’s safe for you.

  1. ELEVATE YOUR FEET WHEN RESTING

It will make it easier for your body to recirculate blood and the fluids and dissipate any edema you are experiencing.

  1. MAKE SURE YOU WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES

Shoes that are too tight, or even high heels, may make your edema worse and can also increase your discomfort.

  1. MASSAGE YOUR AFFECTED AREAS

Ask your doctor to suggest a masseuse that specializes in pregnancy massage.

  1. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER

Staying hydrated is one of the best ways to flush out excess fluid.

Hope it can give you more pleasure during pregnancy!
